Robert J. Sanford, Attorney at Law
Serving businesses and families in the Rocky Mountain Region, the firm strives to offer its clients reasoned, common-sense, and candid legal advice. Mr. Sanford takes a calm, measured approach without all the bluster and bluff. Having been a prosecutor for many years, he has the seasoning and high-level jury trial experience to back up the positions he takes on behalf of his clients. As a prosecutor, Mr. Sanford successfully tried some of the region’s most notorious jury trials in recent history, including a pipe bomb murder conspiracy, arson, crimes against children, and a notable first-degree murder trial in 2016. Mr. Sanford will occasionally serve as a special prosecutor for the State of Wyoming and for the United States Air Force. He currently serves in the active reserves as a JAG officer for the United States Air Force. In his private practice, he concentrates on criminal defense, estate planning (wills, trusts, advance medical directives), business planning, contract law, construction law, government law, real estate transactions and litigation, as well as a general civil practice. He takes on felony criminal defense clients, where his experience as a prosecutor proves invaluable. While most attorneys either succeed in a transactional practice or in litigation, they rarely excel in both. You will find that The Sanford Law Firm offers the best of both worlds in that regard. Mr. Sanford is honored to serve as a part-time magistrate at every level of trial court in Albany County, Wyoming. The Firm helps clients with matters in Wyoming, Colorado, and Montana.
